Shropshire Styled Shoot at the Bridal Barn

Every so often, a new venue pops up on my radar. Or is telepgraphed LOUDLY to me in this case by my lovely venue dressing friend and past incredi-bride Nadia of JamJar Weddings and Events.

And sometimes, just sometimes it’s a place so bloody lovely I have to go and see for myself. The best way I find to do this is by gathering a team of wedding industry super-nerds and gorge models Rose and Gaby (my favourites!) and put on a day of photography fun.

There is a list of team members at the bottom of this blog, so do check them out as they are all freakily good at what they do, and make my life so easy.

As for the Bridal Barn? It’s every bloody thing you’d want:

Barn? yep obvs

Beautiful Shropshire countryside? Definitely

Trees?: As above, yes.

View of sheep? Absolutely

Cute shepherd’s hut to stay in? YES!

Exclusive use? Heck yeah.

Tipi? Also heck yeah, if that’s your thang.

Rustic and charming? In every way and from every angle.

You get the idea.

Our theme was Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.

We started with Nadia’s Mum’s wedding dress from off of the 70’s, which I followed up with another fabulous find in vintage clothing shop Second Hand Rose (Worcester)

For a more general boho vibe, I had a tulle skirt made in a soft green grey and paired it with different thrifty ‘top’ options. This was something we could accessorise easily too.

Both Louise of Lill Dilly’s boutique in Bewdley and Deborah Jayne Vintage Jewellery have a wonderful ethic of re-using and creatively re-purposing pretty things, so they both put together pieces that would enhance our look - with pendant necklaces by Deborah and a delicately beautiful belt, handmade by Louise that was just perfect with the tulle skirt.

Here as always is a big pile of pics for you to look through and go ‘ooh, that place looks nice, I think I might get married there’. That sort of thing.
