Bus Glamping at Pigeon Door

I sneaked away with John and the kids for a cheeky spot of bus glamping this weekend on Billie bus at the amazing Pigeon Door in Shropshire.

We went last year on a pretty rainy May weekend, and still managed to have a superb time. So this year we grabbed some friends, picked a weekend in July that I managed to keep wedding-free and had a brilliant, summery, relaxed weekend of barbeques, wine, and hot-tubbery. We took ourselves off for the day to Hawkstone Park Follies to walk uphill a lot (totally worth it for the views and a brilliant day out!) squeezing in a flying visit to Moreton Corbett Castle on the way back because...er, we really like castles :)

The buses are converted so well - and all the work of Lisa-Jayne and her husband Andrew, who have managed to turn a DIY project into something perfect for those of us who like our 'camping' a little bit different, and a lot more comfortable than the canvas variety. Hot tubs anyone? I'm a 'Hell yes please!'

I took along the little family Fuji and my 'phone (I was on holiday after all) and took a few snaps whenever I remembered to put down my wine. Here's my lil' weekend getaway in family pics...
